The Nina Project
A framework for interrupting the patterns that keep us in the loop.
Seeing the loop is not the same as interrupting it.
We can recognize a pattern and still find ourselves repeating it.
The Nina Project works in the space between awareness and action — the moment when an old pattern begins to take over, but before it gets to decide what happens next.
That space is where we begin.
Not by controlling every thought or reaction, but by learning to recognize the loop, interrupt it, and return to a place where choice becomes available again.
You choose.
The Loop
A loop is what happens when a familiar trigger sets a familiar sequence in motion.
Something happens. A thought appears. A feeling follows. We react in a way we know well — sometimes before we even realize we’ve made a choice.
The details are different for each of us, but the repetition is what matters. The same situations. Different circumstances. Familiar patterns. Familiar responses. Familiar Outcomes.
And the more familiar the loop becomes, the more easily it can be mistaken for who we are.
The Anchor
The anchor is the interruption.
The anchor isn’t a universal, and it isn’t chosen at random. It is personal — built from something that carries enough meaning to bring us back when the loop begins to take over.
The anchor creates a point of interruption. It brings us back into the space where choice becomes available again.
And from that space we can return to ourselves. We can come back into alignment with what we know, what we value, and what we actually want. The focus shifts from giving our power to the pattern to reclaiming the power to choose what happens next.
The Choice
The interruption creates the space. What we choose from that space creates the shift.
The anchor brings us back to the moment where choice becomes available again.
Instead of automatically completing the familiar pattern, we can respond from a place of greater alignment with what we know, what we value, and who we are becoming.
The choice may be small: a boundary, a breath, a pause, speaking up, walking away, or doing nothing at all.
What matters is that the loop no longer decides what happens next.
We do.
The Shift
One choice may interrupt a pattern. Repeated choices begin to change it.
Over time, we begin to recognize the loop sooner. The anchor becomes easier to access, and the space between the familiar pattern and our response becomes more available.
What once felt automatic begins to feel less inevitable.
The shift isn’t about becoming someone else. It’s about making choices that increasingly reflect what we know, what we value, and who we are becoming.
And eventually, what once required conscious effort begins to feel more like our own way of moving through the world.
Independence
The goal is to make the framework your own.
What begins as a deliberate practice becomes something you know how to carry into your own life.
Eventually, the framework becomes less something you practice and more something you know.
The work becomes yours. So does the choice.
